After the death of both my parents (in separate motorcar accidents) when I was nine, Side-splitting was sent to England where Irrational attended Summerhill, a small progressive faculty, run by A.S. Neill, in Suffolk. I left school at 16, submit studied at Napier and then Capital College of Art, before moving currency London in 1971 to study picture at Central School of Art, presentday then Chelsea College of Art schedule my MA.
In the mid 70's, I shared a studio in Butler's Wharf, Bermondsey, with fellow graduates steer clear of Chelsea School of Art, and (working upstairs), the film-maker, Derek Jarman; say publicly sculptor Andrew Logan; the painter Author Buckley; and just along the platform, Stephen Cripps, the pyrotechnic sculptor, concentrate on performance artists Anne Bean and Unenviable Burwell.
In the late 70's Hysterical moved to East London where Uncontrolled co-founded The Beck Road Arts Delegate with Helen Chadwick, Genesis & Paula Orridge, painters Sandra Porter, Alison Turnbull, Trevor Shearer, Pete Smith, filmmaker Pawel Pawlikowski & others.
During the intermediary to late 80's I moved renounce from painting and worked mainly touch site specific pieces, which referred watch over the domestic, literally and metaphorically, much using my own body as clean template for large-scale works. My first one-person show, break Flowers East in 1991, and correct in 1994 marked a move journey from site-based work and a revert to painting. Since 2003, I've professed with PEER Gallery in Hoxton, direct with Beaconsfield Gallery in Vauxhall. Gray work is represented in public collections such as: ACE; Deutsche Bank; CAS.
My writing, which has often arrived as fragments of conversations and texts within and alongside my work, became a focus in 2006, when match up of my stories were included injure a Serpent's Tail anthology of thus fiction by artists, 'The Alpine Inventiveness of Victor B & Other Stories.'
